They Years, They Never Pass
My mother's voice
is ugly,
it rings,
like a bell,
like tires screeching over asphalt,
like a loud whisper.
My father's voice
is deep and cold,
it roars,
it thunders thunder,
like a lion,
like a bear,
like a lion,
that is when
fear pervades me.
together they will
send me stumbling downhill,
they will make me sink
to the botoom,
they will make me
succumb.
The years,
they never pass,
I want to be out of their grip,
to be gone forever,
but the years,
they never pass.
