I Am From

I am from soccer, from Nike and F.C.Kobenhavn. I am fom the bright T.V. and the comfortable leather couch. I am from tulips growing wildly in the front yard, the bright redroses growing formally on the bushes. I am from christmas and the singing and the loud talking, from Thomas and henrik and the Knudsen's Family (and no it is not the sour cream). I am from the tendency of playing soccer when I get the chance and visiting the family every holiday. I am from the church and the acting of the stories from the bible. I'm from Copenhagen and Arhus, fleskesteg and potatos with gravy. From the evergreen trees that grow on the mountain side, place where my great uncle lives and the big stomach and a beard. I am from the pictures that hang on my grandmother's wall, where the family continues to descend and inherit. I am from my mom's grip that let go of me when I was young.
