This is it, the big day. Denmark VS. Sweden.
"You know that we have to bike all the way to the stadium?" my dad asked as I came into the kitchen to eat breakfast.
"WHAT!" I exclaimed.
"I know its hard, but if you really want to go and watch this game you have to cooperate with me," he said calmly.
"Yeah, ok," I replied in a grumpy mood.
When I finished eating my breakfast, I went down in the basement to get my grey bike. When I gripped the handle bars it felt like I was holding a piece of ice in my hand. I went outside to meet my dad at the gate.He was waiting with his silver bike.
"Ready?" he asked.
"I'm ready," I said excitedly.
We got on our bikes and rode out the gate into the bright sunlight. After we had rode for what felt like ten hours, we were there. The big stadium gleamed with bright lights and was full with roaring fans in red and white for Denmark and the other fans were wearing blue and yellow for sweden. My dad and I joined in with the fans that were wearing red and blue.
When we got to our seats we watched the team captains shake hands and flipping the coin to see who starts off with the ball. Sweden won the coin toss which made all the Danish fans roar with anger.
When the whistel blew, the Swedish soccer team started passing it back and fortht each other until Jacobsen got the ball and dribbeled with it past Andreas, then he he passed it to Graversson who kicked it into the goal making it 1-0. All the Danish people yelled with delight and whistled while the Swedish fans booed and yelled in anger. The Whistle blew for the second time and the Swedish passed it back and forth looking out for Jacobsen and Graversson. Andreas passed it all the way up to a player I had never seen before, who passed it to Jonas who kicked it with all his might and scored. Now the score stood 1-1. All the Danish fans booed and yelled in anger while all the Swedish roared with happiness. The whistle blew for the third time, but this time it was for half-time.
After refilling my soda and getting another hotdog, I went back to my dad who was waiting for me. The whistle blew for the fourth time and thats when the game got rough and they started doing some harsh tackles. Jacobsen got the ball and passed it to Michael Laudrup who drippled past every Swedish soccer player scored. The score was now 2-1. Every Danish fan roared with delightment and whistled as loud as ever because Denmark had just won. I realized that soccer games can look boring but they are actually really fun to go and watch.
